Appliance & HVAC Medix was formed in 2006 as an LLC operating out of Johnstown, CO. The principal officer of the company, Eric, has been in the appliance industry since 1986. Starting as a shop assistant with a family owned business in Aurora Illinois, Eric worked his way up to service manager. Eric attended numerous courses in electronics and HVAC at Waubonsce Community College. During his studies he was encouraged by his lead instructor to join and compete in VICA, now known as SkillsUSA. SkillsUSA is an organization which has chapters in most all vocational and community colleges. These chapters compete at the regional, state, and national levels in their respective fields of study. In 1998, Eric competed in the Major Appliance division and progressed through the regional and state levels, finally placing 2nd in nationals in Kansas City MO. Sears being the main sponsor in the major appliance division recruited Eric to join their ranks. Eric accepted a position as a technician for the mountain region and was stationed out of Silverthorne, CO. In February 2006, with 20 years of experience, Eric felt ready to hang out his own shingle. Though solid business connections and loyal customers, the business has flourished into what it is now. Through the years Eric has provided factory service for just about every manufacturer.

Future plans for the company include adding a store front to provide a location for customers to purchase do-it-yourself parts and as a drop off location for repairs.
